Last month I was very excited to announce that this painting has received the Best of Show award in the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society annual "Best of America" exhibition. Well, the December issue of the Artist's Magazine has been released and I can now tell you that the same painting has received an Honorable Mention in the Magazine's 30th Annual Art Competition in the figure and portrait category! I'm honored once again to be in the company of so many great artists. Go check out all the other great art in this issue on the news stands. You can see an excerpt of the magazine on my blog:…

Man you can paint!!! I really admire your 'confident' brushwork and skill.  I'm still trying to push paint around till I think its gonna somewhat behave.  What kind of medium do you use? Very nice work...

Wow, it's great to see an artist working with oils! I would like to specialize in oil painting among other things, but I'm a bit afraid it will be much harder to good get job as traditional artist than digital artist. I would be glad if you could tell me, are my worries correct?

That depends on what kind of job you're trying to get. If you are trying to get a job in concept art/video game development, then yes, most of those jobs will require you to work digitally. However, for any kind of publishing, like card/board games, comics or book covers, it does not matter what media you use.

I also thought that digital suits better for concept art... thanks for response!
